Company sustainability

Scoring the giants

The companies that move markets also move the climate. This is a transparent, cited sustainability score for ~100 of the world’s largest public companies — built so it can drive real decisions, and served as an open API. Each company’s climate-target status is read straight from the SBTi registry: who holds a validated science-based target, who merely committed, and who is not on record at all. Higher is better.

How the score works

A transparent 0–100 composite of cited public indicators: sector carbon intensity, fossil-fuel exposure, the company's status in the SBTi climate-target registry (graded on SBTi's own categories; absent from the registry = 0), and CDP disclosure (null — no open feed). Components with no cited data are null (excluded from the score) and lower `coverage`. No per-company number is invented.

Since methodology 1.1.0, the climate-target component is read from the SBTi registry (as of 2026-10-08) and graded on SBTi’s own categories — a company absent from the registry scores 0 on that component, which is a fact about the registry, not a guess. CDP disclosure remains null for every company: there is no open feed, so it is excluded from the score rather than estimated.
